Prompt: LASA’s mission is to connect civic-minded, exceptional students in Los Angeles (that’s you!) with aspects of Los Angeles’ infrastructure so that you can imagine and plan for how you fit into the future of the city. LASA sponsors this contest to connect our mission to the summer after you complete the program.

We invite you to pose a question or project to tackle this summer based on your interests in a specific LASA day or LA civic engagement question. Let us know the details of your question or project. If you want to brainstorm with one us as you prepare your submission, feel free to reach out at lasa@huntington.org.

Please limit your response to 3 double-spaced pages.

Deadline: May 3, 2024 (via email to lasa@huntington.org)

The winner or winners (in the event of a tie) will be announced at the May LASA meeting. The winner will work with Bill, Elizabeth, and Eryn on the project this summer and write a brief report at the end of the summer detailing the results of the project.

Essays (or portions of essays) may be featured on the LASA website or ICW’s website or social media platforms. We look forward to reading your responses!
