LASA gathered in May at The Huntington to celebrate our graduates and think about the transition to senior year.
Deans Sharon Cuseo and Sara Miranda from Harvard Westlake joined us to share helpful tips for considering next steps. From research strategies to learn more about colleges to tips about letters and timing, we’re grateful for their wisdom and practical help.
We also welcomed LASA alums to join us for a picnic. They shared their memories of LASA as well as their reflections on how LASA might help them as they move forward.
Congratulations to LASA student Sam, the 2022 recipient of the Francine Werner Summer Research prize. Mentored by LASA alum Patrick Hudnut, Sam will pursue work on addressing food insecurity with the Hollywood Food Coalition.
In addition to serving guests, he will analyze and write about practices that improve lives across the county. We hope to share that work more broadly in the fall.
