LASA gathered in February for our first of two sessions on food insecurity in LA. We’ll let the pictures and the numbers share the story of our visit to the LA Food Bank.
27 LASA students, teachers, and our special guest, Bill’s sister, Deb Deverell, worked 81 hours of service.
10,500 pounds of onions sorted by LASA during our shift. 45,400 pounds of fruits and vegetables sorted by the collective volunteer group for the morning.

We’ll come together in March to better understand the issue of food insecurity and discuss solutions. Thanks to everyone who works with the Food Bank who welcomed us and helped us sort, bag, and box the onions.
